Itinerary

Day 01: Welcome to Ho CHi Minh City (B)

Up on arrival to Tan Son Nhat inernational airport in HCM City, Our Guide and driver from Saigon Office will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in the central of the city.

Welcome dinner in one of the finest restaurants in town. Enjoy the rest of the day free at your leisure.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city

Day 02: Saigon – Mekong Delta – Saigon ( B/L)

Today we travel to the Mekong River Delta on a day trip to explore the rich culture and lush fluvial landscape. Our driver and guide will meet you at your hotel and take you to Cai Be. Start your tour with a visit to Cai Be’s colorful floating market, cruising among the local barges stuffed-full of fruits and vegetables. Visit some local workshops then enjoy a delicious lunch served at an ancient house (over 170 years old!) in the cool shade of An Binh Island’s orchards. In the afternoon, take a traditional rowboat and venture deeper into the countryside, floating through narrow canals to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Stop at a nursery garden to discover how farmers along the delta produce their world famous fruits and vegetables. The cruise ends around 3.30 PM in Vinh Long. Our driver will meet you at the dock and take you back to Saigon.

Day 03: Cu Chi tunnel– Fly to Danang – Hoian ( B/L)

0800h – You will be picked from your hotel and travel out of Ho Chi Minh City to visit the famous Vietcong tunnels at Cu Chi. The incredible system of tunnels, covering nearly 250km, was shelter to over 16,000 communist guerillas during the American war. You will gain an insight into the tenacity of the soldiers and have the opportunity to go inside the tunnels.

Lunch will be in HCMC and after you have enjoyed your meal you begin your guided HCM City tour

You will visit many interesting and famous places including, Ben Thanh Market, War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office. Notre Dame Cathedral was built between 1877 and 1883, and the stones used to create it were exported in its entirety from France. The Central Post Office, finished in 1891 is another fine example of French architecture and is Vietnam's largest post office.

1630h - Return to your hotel and overnight at the Hotel.

Day 04: My Son – Hoi An city (B/L)

0830h - Start from your hotel and travel 50km from Hoi An to My Son holy land in a private air conditioned vehicle with your English speaking guide.

My Son was a major religious site for the people of the ancient Champa Kingdom which flourished between the 4th and 13th centuries The Champa people ruled Central Vietnam until it was finally annexed by the Vietnamese in the 19th Century.

The Champa King lived in the political capital of Tra Kieu (whose commercial capital was the port of Hoi An) and so the My Son complex became the most important temples of the Champa Kingdom. Bricks were used to build the temples without the aid of mortar and sculptures of gods, priests, animals, and scenes of mythical battles adorned the walls. The temples were places of worship to the Hindu God Vishnu.

My Son was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999.

After exploring the ruins and history of My Son and viewing a short traditional Champa Peoples music concert, you will start your journey back to Hoi An arriving at approximately 1230h.

Lunch in town.

After lunch you will walking to Hoi An Old Town. Famous for its quant mixture of Chinese, Japanese and European architecture, the old town was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1999. You will visit, the Japanese bridge built in the 16th century and famous for being the only covered bridge known to incorporate a Buddhist pagoda, the 200 year old Tan Ky house, museum of trade ceramics and several other historical sites.

1700 – Back to your hotel and overnight in Hoi an

Day 05: Hoi An – Hai Van pass – Hue (B)

0830h - Your guide will meet you at the hotel and travel with you in an air conditioned private vehicle from Hoi An to Hue and driving over Hai Van pass. The scenery from the top of Hai Van pass is spectacular and offers some great photo opportunities.

The pass, which once formed the boundary between the kingdoms of Dai Viet and Champa, also forms a boundary between the climates of northern and southern Vietnam, sheltering the city of Da Nang from the winds that blow in from the northwest.

After leaving Da Nang, you will continue driving toward Hue

1330h – Arrive to Hue and check into your hotel in Hue

Day 06: Hue city – Fly to Ha Noi (B/L)

0900h - Your day of discovering the wonders of Hue will begin when your English speaking meets you at the Hotel.

As part of your Hue city tour you will visit the impressive complex of the Imperial Citadel. Built in the 19th Century and surrounded by high stone walls and moat, the Citadel was once the exclusive home of the Nguyen Imperial Family. It is similar to the famous Forbidden City in Beijing and is not to be missed.

1200h - A delicious set menu lunch will be served at a local restaurant and after lunch you will take a cruise on the famous Perfume River and visit Tu Duc and Minh Mung tombs.

Tu Duc Tomb is one of the most beautifully designed tombs of the Nguyen dynasty. Embedded in a lush pine forest, the tomb is the final resting place of Emperor Tu Duc (1848-83) who had the longest reign of all emperors of the Nguyen dynasty.

Khai Dinh become the Emperor of Vietnam in 1916 but unfortunately his close relationship with the French made him unpopular with the Vietnamese people and he branded nothing more than a paid employee of the French government. However, his tomb is a remarkable structure which began construction in 1920 but was not finished until approximately 5 years after his death. Although the tomb is smaller than most, it is an elaborate design combining a number of different architectural styles and includes walls formed by the largest dragon sculptures in Vietnam. The tomb also features intricately designed glass and a ceiling decorated with 9 detailed dragons.

Free time until the driver will meet you at the hotel and transfer you to the airport in for your flight to Ha Noi

Day 07: Hanoi – Halong Bay Cruise (B/L/D)

08:00: Get picked up for a 3,5 hour drive to Halong passing the country side of Red River Delta.

Spend 24 hours on a traditional Junk Cruise in the amazing bay: a natural wonderland composed of jutting limestone islands and sparkling turquoise waters. Arrive at the dock around noon and board your cruise. Savor a gourmet lunch of fresh seafood onboard as we sail out into the mystical bay. In the afternoon, cruise around some of Halong’s many islands, including Dinh Huong and Ga Choi. Along the way visit one of the bay’s 3 largest caves (Thien Cung, Dau Go or Sung Sot). Stop at an island cove with a sheltered white-sand beach and take a dip in the warm waters of the East Sea (Bien Dong) (weather permitting). Pass the night on your cruise, lulled to sleep by the gentle rocking of calm waters.

Day 08: Halong Bay Cruise – Hanoi (B/L)

Awake early and participate in Tai Chi on the top deck or simply relax and enjoy the sunrise over the bay’s towering islands. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee or tea, before setting out to explore nearby islands by rowboat. Return to the junk for breakfast then take advantage of the sundeck and admire the amazing rock formations of Bai Tu Long Bay as we navigate back to Halong City. Have lunch on board the boat before returning to Halong pier. Our driver will meet you at the dock and take you back to Hanoi.

Overnight in Ha Noi

Day 09: Hanoi City Tour - Fly to Yangon (B/L)

Today we have a full day to explore Vietnam’s charming capital. With its wide tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and ancient oriental pagodas; Hanoi is an eclectic mix that offers something for everyone. Our city tour will take you to Hanoi’s key sites: the Ho Chi Minh Complex (Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and stilt house); the Presidential Palace; the nearby One Pillar Pagoda; the Old Quarter; the Temple of Literature; West Lake; the sedate Tran Quoc Pagoda & Quan Thanh Temple.

Take the late afternoon flight to Yangon. Up on arrival to Yangon International airport, our driver will welcome you and transfer you to hotel in central of Yangon city.

Overnight in Yangon.

Day 10: Yangon – Mandalay - Sagaing – Amarapura (B/L)

Take the morning flight to Mandalay, Our tour guide and driver will welcome you and take you on a full day tour in Mandalay.

Known as the hub of Buddhism in Myanmar, Mandalay is a realm of stupas, monks and monastery. The most fascinating visit will be the time to behold the monks doing their worship and having meals.

We first drive to Sagaing Hill, discover the monk education, visit Budda cave, Uminthonze pagoda and Sunooponnyashin pagoda. Behold the panoramic view of Mandalay.

The next stop is Amarapura - being famous for Mahagandaryone Monastery Amarapura is the best place to experience the monk life in Mandalay. Walk over Ubein Bridge - the longest teakwood of its type to Mahamuni Image - a bronze Buddha image castled during the lifetime of Buddha himself.

Day 11: Mandalay – Mingul – Mandalay Hill – Fly to Bagan (B/L)

Drive to Mandalay pier, embarking on a boat upstream to visit Mingun, famed for its huge and incomplete Pahtodawgyi Pagoda and Mingun Bell the 90 tons ringing bell.

In the afternoon, visit Mandalay Palace, Shwenandaw Monastery - noted for its exquisite wood carvings, gold leaf beating workshop, Kuthodaw Pagoda - known as the world biggest book

Overnight in Bagan

Day 12: Bagan Sightseeing (B/L)

After breakfast, We start with the exotic horse cart to one of the biggest temple in Bagan: Nan Paya pagoda and many other interesting sites nearby, continue with sightseeing to Minkaba Gubyaukyi Temple, experience the architectural difference in MyaZedi pagoda before heading to Manuha Temple. The highlight of today is the panoramic sunset view from the second highest pagoda of Bagan the ShweSandaw pagoda.

Day 13: Bagan Sightseeing - Fly to Yangon (B/L)

Continue our sightseeing today by a visit to Minkaba Gubyaukyi temple, experience the architectural difference in MyaZedi pagoda before heading to Manuha Temple.

This afternoon, enjoy the exotic horse cart to one of the biggest temple in Bagan: Nan Paya pagoda and many other interesting sites nearby.

Later in the afternoon, take flight to Yangon. On arrival, our driver will welcome you and transfer you to hotel in town.

Day 14 Yangon City Tour. Departure (B/L)

Yangon, formerly known as Rangoon, is still a relatively quiet and charming city. Its impressive colonial and spiritual heritage makes Yangon one of the most fascinating and authentic capitals of South-East Asia.

Begin your first Myanmar visit to Shwedagon pagoda – the most prominent monument in Yangon which dominates the sky with golden flash, giant spires and holy relics.

We then embark on an orientation walk from Sule Pagoda to Chinese Town, covering exotic streets of Yangon downtown and British Colonial building as Emmanuel Church, Inland Water Buildings.

Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda’s 70m long reclining Buddha and Myanmar’s holiest monument Rest of the day is free for your shopping at Bogyoke Market until get transferred to your departure flight.
