Itinerary

Day 01: Yangon – Arrival

Arrive at Yangon International Airport and welcome by our tour speaking guide. Transfer to hotel for check in. (The official check in time at 14:00 hours). This morning, visit Botathaung Pagoda, located close to Yangon River and said to contain Buddha relics. The tour includes visit the old colonial-style city center with the gilded SULE PAGODA, strand road and Yangon Jetty by Car. And visit Bogyoke Aung San (Scott) Market, is the most popular market (close on every Monday & Public holiday) and where you can buy luxury item, handicrafts, food stuff, clothing, jewelry, fashion and consumer goods.

In the afternoon, visit to Chaukhtatgyi (Reclining Buddha) Pagoda a colossal reclining Buddha. Then visitKaraweik Hall Royal barge on the Royal lake for photo stop. Enjoy the sunset at Shwedagon Pagoda, famous worldwide - its golden stupa is the 'heart' of Buddhist Myanmar. The Pagoda is believed to be 2,500 years old and the central stupa in surrounded by dozens of intricately decorated buildings and statues. Accommodation at hotel, Yangon

Day 02: Yangon – Heho – Kalaw

Breakfast at hotel. This morning, transfer to Yangon Airport for domestic flight to Heho. Upon arrival in Heho, directly proceed to Kalaw formerly a British Hill station, Kalaw at 4365 ft is surrounded by hills and pine trees. There are many hiking trails amid gnarled pines and bamboo groves. Palaung Tribe Village is also famous for trekking and a narrow valley where the Palaung cultivate cheroot, tea, damsons and mangoes on the hill. In the late afternoon, transfer to hotel. Day 03: Kalaw (Green Hill Valley Elephant Camp And Re-Plantation)

Breakfast at hotel. This morning, come straight to Magwe Elephant Camp from Kalaw (45mins drive). Welcome and refreshment by Elephant Camp. Afterward walk (5-7mins) to the river where elephant bath and you can join in feeding and bathing the elephants. Exploration of the forest area, opportunity to see butterflies, birds and orchids around our conservation area. You can take a short ride on elephant’s back, depends on the weather and health condition of elephants. (Option: having an experience of riding on elephant’s back (like Mahout) after washing.). Lunch will be served at the main camp. You are also welcome to join us by planting regional trees from our nursery in our forest recovery efforts. Return to main camp and enjoy the view through valley. Drive back to Kalaw. Accommodation at hotel, Kalaw

Day 04: Kalaw – Kyauk Su

Breakfast at hotel. Early morning, we start our trekking through beautiful pine forest with great views of paddy fields and spotted villages in the valley. It is going to be cold, it is 1400 meters above sea level. After one and half hour walk we arrive to Lutpyin village, a small village of Taungyo tribes. They live on rice and vegetable farms. And then an hour walk to Shapin village, where we are going to have lunch in a village family house ofDanu Tribes. Danu tribes are very friendly and hospitable people. After Lunch, continue our journey through thick pine forest on the top of the mountain ridge and suddenly open to the vast grass land on the long mountain range. We pass through Chili farms, Rice plantations, Potato fields and beautiful bright yellow Seasoned fields. It will be two and half hours walk to Kyauk Su village, where we will stay in one of the family home of Pa-O Tribes. Enjoy the sunset by watching people walking back to village with their buffalos and smokes on the top of their roofs.Accommodation at Monastery or Local house.

Day 05: Kyauksu – Nan Daing – Htito – Pattu – Htitain

Wake up with the sound of village life and have a delicious breakfast cooked by local traditional chef. Continue our journey for 1:30 hours to Nan Daing village, Pa-O tribes village of over 700 population, where market happen every five days rotating and it is a great opportunity for us to see colorful local market. Have local tea in the market and walk 2 hours to Htito village, have lunch at the old wooden monastery with ancient Buddha statues in a peaceful environment. Rest for some time and trek to Pattu village of Pa-O tribes for 2:30 hours, along the way you will pass through never ending rice terraces and beautiful limestone cliffs with karsts topography. Enjoy the lively rive that flow into the Inle Lake, where village buffalos stay in water on hot noon times. Walk for 30 minutes to Hti Taing Monastery of Pa-O tribes and there you can see the monk way of life. Accommodation at Monastery or Local house.

Day 06: Hti Tain – Kyauk Su – Than Daung

Wake up by the Monks chanting in early morning. Enjoy the peacefulness while having breakfast and get ready for next 4:30 hours walk through villages of Pa-O tribes, mostly descending down to Inle Lake. Enjoy the great view of Inle Lake from top of the mountains. Arrive to Than Daung village and have lunch and take a relaxing boat ride along the river and into the big lake. Transfer to on the lake hotel. Accommodation at Monastery or Local house.

Day 07: Inle Lake

Breakfast at hotel. This morning, visit to one of the 5 days rotating markets (on market day only). Excursion by boat on picturesque Inle Lake we see the famous leg rowers, the typical floating gardens where fruit and vegetables are grown, local methods of fishing and village life. Then we visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the holiest religious site in southern Shan State and stopping to see some traditional handicrafts - silk weaving on wooden handlooms inInpawkon village, a cheroot making and other cottage industries. Afterward, proceed by boat to visit Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries on the lake where inside its large wooden meditation hall. Accommodation at hotel, Inle Lake

Day 08: Inle Lake – Heho – Bagan

Breakfast at hotel. This morning, transfer by boat and car to Heho Airport for domestic flight to Bagan. This morning, visit to colorful Naung U Market and visit some of Bagan most famous pagodas, including Shwezigon Pagoda, a prototype of later Myanmar stupas: Gubyaukgyi, a 13th century cave temple with interesting fine frescoes of scences from the jatakas and Ananda Pagoda, one of the visit to a Lacquerware factory. We will also visit Dhammayangyi Patho, a massive later period temple with the finest brickwork in Bagan.

In the afternoon, visit top for a photo of Bagan’s tallest temple; 61 metre-high Thatbyinnyu, known as the 'temple of omniscience' and dating from 1144. Next visit a lacquer craftsman's workshop in nearby Myingaba village, where you’ll learn how this delicate art is made. Sightseeing continues with visits to Manuha Temple, built in the Mon style in 1059; Nanpaya Temple, a unique sandstone monument said to have been the palace of King Manuha, and Gubyaukgyi (Myingaba) under the protection of UNESCO and noted for its ancient mural paintings. Day 09: Bagan

Optional: Balloons Over Bagan Flight

Early morning, the tour start for surprise discover day to see the ancient city of Bagan form above. Client’s enjoy a magnificent bird's eye view of thousand year-old pagodas, temples and the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River with “BALLOONS OVER BAGAN'. It is a very exiting experience and clients will never forget. The Balloon is guided by gentle wind and chance to see slowly the sun rising. The balloon is guided by gentle winds and operates form 20 Oct 2014 till 20 Mar 2015 only. (Balloon Over Bagan service start operate from 01 Oct till 31 Mar for every year due to weather)

This morning start your tour to see 13th Century frescoes adorning the corridors of Kyansittha 'Cave'Temple. Next stop is Htilominlo, the last Bamar style temple built in Bagan, with old murals and friezes. Later, visitPyatsashwegu, built in 11th century showing frescoes with ancient Mon captions on the interior walls. Stop atMyazedi stupa to see Myanmar's "Rosetta Stone", bearing inscriptions written in four languages. Then, pass through Tharaba Gateway where in the niches on the eastern side you will see two statues representing Nat shrines before entering into Old Bagan.

After that visit to Abeyadana Temple with frescoes representing Bodhisattvas and the gods of Indian mythology. Continue to Dhammayangyi, a massive-looking temple dating from 1170 that is famous for its interlocking mortar less brickwork. Next, visit Sulamani, one of Bagan’s great two-storied Bamar style temples, which has 4-seated Buddha images. Enjoy the sunset top of the one of the temple. Accommodation at hotel, Bagan
